High temperature Rc

Messagede sanmark » 09 Juin 2020 10:41

Hello, so I have this car for almost 4 years and I still have some questions about operating temperature. It's a little too hot. :cobra:
This is where my water temperature is when moving normal driving, it sits around 85°c, but when I am stuck in traffic jam the temperature raises to 100°c (then my fan kicks in) and lowers it down to 90°c. Then you have this ping pong effect 100-90, 90-100 ) This is without a/c running. When I put a/c on, fan starts too. But I have a concern that the fan (when a/c off) is coming on late (red mark on 100C
Help appreciated.

Sounds normal for me, take care that the water temperature doesn't go further, and same for the oil.
To reduce the temperature you can also fit a bigger radiator at the front

This seems normal to me too, I read here a few months ago that the first fan speed comes at 96 °c

It bothers me, because looking at forum search I found this topic :
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=34214&start=0&hilit=Temperature+rc

Where someone is mentioning that first gear should come on at 93°c and if the temperature does not drop, it goes to second speed..

I read 96°c about 206 S16/GTi but I guess it must be the same for RC :?:
